Cropping Guide
Raws often have black areas around the page left over from the scanning process. Rotating a page can also create extra space around a page.
Choose the Crop tool (
) (or press C on the keyboard) and draw a rectangle around the page. Move the borders so that you crop out the black areas at the edges of the page.
Press Enter when you’re done. Easy, right? ^^

i usually select it with marquee tool and then go to image/crop
is it the same?
I think it’s the same, but the crop tool will give you the shading box if you click the check. It’s not a huge thing, though, so go with whatever you’re most comfortable with ;)
